What is NoSo?
The NOSO Fiber Craft-In is a day-long opportunity for fiber enthusiasts of all kinds to be with their community, while supporting local charities with donations of hand-knitted and -crocheted garments . Attendees are invited to join us for a day of socializing, stitching, sharing ideas, and shopping with local artisans and yarn shops. We have banquet seating with comfortable chairs to accommodate talking with friends both old and new. We encourage you to set up camp at one table or wander as you wish, with ample opportunity to talk or shop all day!
While we don't have a official lunch break, The Bower Center is in close proximity to several restuarants within walking distance. You can pop out for a full lunch break or bring something back.
What do I need to do to attend?
When you attend NoSo, you only need two things:
1. Your ticket! Purchase your ticket for the day under the "Registration" tab. Tickets are sold in advance so we can make sure we have a comfortable amount of space for attendees.
2. A hand-made item for donation: We ask that everyone bring at least one hand-made with yarn item for one of our charities.
We would love to have more items for our charities as it means more warmth and comfort for our neighbors, so feel free to donate more than one item. We collect these items at the event, then give them to the charities where they are distributed to those in need.
This event is organized entirely by volunteers and receives donations for prizes from many sources in our greater fiber community. We hope that you will have a wonderful day and that you enjoy the event; our greatest wish is that our fiber friends have a chance to connect and unite with a common purpose! Our event has changed a lot in 20 years and will likely continue to evolve as our community needs and people do. We hope that you like what this year brings!
